Brookfield Road Project 2026

Road project is well underway! Brookfield Road is currently closed to all through traffic for an estimated 2.5 weeks. Access to businesses, homes, and local traffic only. IF the business you are trying to access has means to park on the side streets, Pleasant street lot, or Hoffman lot please park in those areas. Speed limit currently 20 mph in efforts to keep everyone safe and give people time to navigate traffic pattern changes.

Next phase: Brookfield Road is planned to be CLOSED, at the railroad crossings. No access will be allowed north and south over the railroad track crossings. Access to your businesses/properties would have to come from the side of the tracks you’re located at. For example, if you’re located north of the tracks your access would have to come from the north on Brookfield Road. If you’re located south of the tracks your access would have to come from the south.

Local access is defined as the right or ability to reach properties, homes, and businesses directly abutting a road or located within a closed construction work zone. When the road is closed to through traffic, local access is preserved exclusively for those with an origin or destination inside the restricted area/work zone.
